Free!

I was recently purchasing photos to display on the walls of my home. Here are a few of the photos I selected. You'll notice that most might seem unconventional.

These are the photos that make my heart happy, that capture my family. We aren't always perfectly coiffed. We very rarely wear coordinated outfits.

Maybe I'm not the only one who enjoys glorified snapshots decking their walls I'm hoping I'm not the only one because these are the photos I want to take of my family AND of your family. There are photographers who charge loads of money to do just this. Look here for some additional inspiration.

I'll pause for you to really soak that link in. (Focus mostly on the photos in the films and the photos that accompany some of the films) And, yes, people really do hang this kind of candid stuff on their walls, the proof is here.

Ok, this lady is in California where everyone is "quirky". This is the midwest. But, maybe, just maybe, I can find people who will want to break the rules with me.

So here is my offer. I want to do a "Let's Go!" session each month with a new family or couple. A "Let's Go!" session is of my own invention. It lasts 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I take candid photos of your family while you do something... anything. We could go to the farmer's market, have a picnic, eat ice cream and play a game, run through the sprinklers in the backyard, go pick apples at an apple orchard, pick pumpkins at a pumpkin patch, go putt-putting, have a snowball fight and then some hot cocoa, the sky is the limit. The photos will be edited and placed on my website for you to view, order, or download. You will also receive a CD with the full resolution images for you to use however you wish. Interested?

Here is where you come in. I need to know who you are, what you want to do, and which month you want to do it in. I'm going to be doing this for 12 months. July 2011, August 2011, September 2011, October 2011, November 2011, December 2011, January 2012, February 2012, March 2012, April 2012, May 2012, June 2012. Ok, Maybe that was unnecessary.

You also must promise to dress normally! I'm assuming you have your own, beautiful style that you rock each day. That is what I want you to wear.

Still interested? Send me an email willowgrovephotography@gmail.com. Tell me who I would be photographing, what you want to do, and when you want to do it. I may or may not be able to accommodate all requests (depends on how many rule breaker there are). I will only consider requests sent to my email. I sure hope there are at least twelve. Email me, please.

  1. My name is Traci Prescott and I am a friend of Kellie Nowacki's and I absolutely LOVE what you did with the photos of her family. I would love to have my family be one of your monthly projects! It would be for my husband, my 6 year old son, my 11 month old son and me!! I am looking for a month in the late summer or fall maybe September or October. I am still contemplating on what we would do for the shoot but I definitely want it to be outdoors. Maybe a late afternoon campfire making smores? I will keep thinking about what to do for the shoot if you think you can fit us in!! You are very talented and I, too, am looking for candids to hang on the walls of our house. Let me know what you think!
Email me back at traciesss@aol.com or catch me on Facebook Traci Siple Prescott. You can find me from Kellie's page.

  3. I sent you an email. I had to tell you that, for some reason, Eon just loved that video you linked. He made me play it four times! Just kept signing/saying "again!" after it ended. Cracked me up. See, even he has good taste! :)
