So I "liked" a local photographer's Facebook page the other day, and now her photos keep showing up on my news feed. She is good, and when I look at her photos I go into a "I suck" spiral. At some point, I stop myself, tell myself I don't suck, remind myself what it is I'm trying to do with my photography. This is more of a personal venture than a business one. A venture to find my artsy voice, to find self confidence, and to enjoy the beauty in the world around me. My artsy voice is different than the next photographer so I shouldn't try to copy them, right? Right. Inspiration is good. Imitation is not. So here is bit of what made me happy from yesterday's session.
