Kids say the darndest things...

I've been taking the babies to The Indianapolis Children's Museum a morning or two a week. It's a great opportunity just to focus on them at this sweet age while the older kids are busy being schooled. Normally we just hang in the playscape, but this morning I took them to the frog exhibit. I guess Schroeder needs some schooling of his own because he struggled to tell me what animal we were looking at. At first he called them bugs. Then he really focused and noticed the quality that really defines them, their webbed feet. Then he shouts out, "It's Spiderman!"

Souvenirs from Ethiopia/ 25. common materials

Tin (much of which was much newer than what is shown) and barbed wire. It seemed like everything was made out of these.

The Russell Family

I spent the better part of today editing pictures from the five sessions I've had in the last week. I'm done. Woot. So there is really no need for sneak peeks. But I'm still excited about some photos. So here are some mini sneak peeks.

Happy October ya'll.

The Hock Family

When I come home from a session and dump all the pictures into my computer, I first look for one or two good, conservative shots. The ones where everyone is in focus, smiling, and looking at the camera. When I know that I have a few of those, I can relax because my obligation is fulfilled. Then I ease into the rest of the shoot to discover those shots that are perfect in a whole different kind of way. Here are a few of those from the Hock Family Session.

Love this one because Harlowe looks so free in the air like she is willing herself to fly.
Just relaxed.
Love her expression.
Love the expression, the textures, and the BELLY!

Souvenirs from Ethiopia/ 24. available in any language

According to Abebe, there are no McDonalds in Ethiopia. But, thankfully for me, there are Cokes and Snickers. By the way, this is written in Amheric.
