Graduation

D'arcy had a big day today. This morning we went for a tour at a preschool we are considering sending her to in the fall. She is excited about the prospect of school and would like to go tomorrow if she could.
This afternoon she had her very first graduation....from the ABC club at our local library. The graduation was complete with cap, march, and certificate. But what would a three year old graduation be without some ABC bingo, dancing, and cheetos which were thrown in for good measure. We are extremely proud of our little girl and her ever growing mind.

Easter Egg Hunt

We hosted an Easter Egg Hunt for our neighborhood in our yard. It was a great opportunity to get to know some of our neighbors and invite them to church for Easter. Julian enjoyed some chocolate, obviously, and the company of some boys. I love the way he turns his head to try to get someone's attention. D'arcy made a fast friend from the neighborhood, and she enjoyed hunting for eggs with her.

Our cousin came to visit...

Gabe came down with Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Connie for spring break. We spent some time in Galveston. Gabe & D'arcy are three weeks apart so you can imagine their relationship; 75% getting along great, 25% driving each other crazy. She was sad to see them leave, and announced promptly that she was ready to go to Indiana for a visit. She'll have to wait until June, though.
Here are some pictures of the kids at the children's museum in Indy during our Christmas trip.
I love this picture of Gabe. He looks so suave and "cool".

No thumb, no thumb, I just want to be alone.

So Julian, are great, fabulous sleeper, woke up in the middle of his nap today and couldn't get back to sleep. It's our fault. His thumb is wrapped up so he couldn't suck himself back to sleep. So I picked him up and brought him into my room which was comfort enough to lull him back to sleep. I love watching my kids sleep. They are so angelic, and Julian is at such a precious age. That age between baby and little boy. I love that when I look at him, I see so many of the most important men in my life. Some days, he looks just like my dad, but when he turns just so, he looks so much like my brother, Kyle, in the eyes. When he was sleeping next to me today, he looked so much like his daddy.
